Welcome to MapMyCam ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our live camera streaming discovery platform located at mapmycam.live.

2.1 Personal Information

When you create an account with us, we collect:

• Email address (through Firebase Authentication)
• Google User ID (when signing in with Google)
• Profile information from your Google account

2.2 Stream Information

When you add a camera stream, we collect:

• Stream details (title, description, category)
• Geographic location coordinates
• Stream URL or embed code
• Submission timestamp

2.3 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information about your device and usage patterns, including:

• Device information
• Browser type and version
• Pages visited and time spent
• Referring websites

2.4 Construction Projects Feature - Google Drive Data

If you use our construction project documentation feature, we additionally collect:

• Google Drive account email address
• Project information (city, address, building type, units)
• Photo metadata only (file names, dates, sizes, captions) - NOT the actual photos
• Google Drive folder IDs for project organization

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for:

• Providing and maintaining our service
• User authentication and account management
• Displaying streams on our interactive map
• Enabling stream discovery and search functionality
• Communicating with you about your account
• Improving our services and user experience

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

4.1 Public Information

The following information is publicly visible to all users:

• Stream details (title, description, category)
• Stream location on the map
• Stream content (as it's publicly broadcasted)

4.2 Access Controls

• All Users: Can view all public stream information
• Stream Owners: Can edit and delete their own streams
• Platform Administrator: Has access to all data for moderation and technical purposes

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Google Firebase services:

• Authentication: Firebase Auth
• Database: Firebase Firestore
• Security: Industry-standard encryption and security measures

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Leaflet with OpenStreetMap: For displaying interactive maps
• Firebase (Google): For authentication and data storage
• Google Drive API: For storing and organizing construction project photos (Projects feature only)

6.1 Google Drive Permissions (Projects Feature)

For users of the construction projects feature, we request:

• drive.file: Access only to files MapMyCam creates (not your entire Drive)
• userinfo.email: To identify your Google Drive account

We can only access the "MapMyCam" folder we create. We cannot see or access your other Drive files.

You can revoke access anytime at: Google Account Permissions

7. Cookies and Tracking

Currently, we do not use cookies or analytics tracking tools. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and notify users accordingly.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: View your account information and streams
• Edit: Modify your stream information
• Delete: Remove your streams from the platform
• Account Deletion: Contact us to delete your account

9. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Stream data remains on the platform until you delete it or we remove it for policy violations.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States where Firebase servers are located.

11. Children's Privacy

Our service is available to users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect additional personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
